Thanks, Emma, will try it. Actually, when I hold him in my arms, he can even sleep for 4 hours, regardless of how much he slept before. I feel bad to move him as I feel he wants to hug and be close, but I will try to cap it.
Another question I have is: since most of the time he falls asleep while feeding, if there’s an activity/ play window, it usually takes place after the nap. So he feeds, falls asleep and when he wakes up he either wants to eat again or he plays, so we get a feed -sleep – play cycle rather than eat – play – sleep. Is it ok?

Thanks Emma,
this is what yesterday looked like:
8:20 – woke up for feeding and started the say
9:40 – 10:00- napped in the play gym after playing
11:50 – 12:20- was sleepy, I put him in the crib and he napped there
13:09 – 13:40- fell to sleep on the breast, transferred to the crib
14:05 – 15;35 fell to sleep on the breast , transferred to crib
16:15-17:15 fell to sleep on the breast, transferred to crib
17:45 – 20:00 fell asleep after feeding and slept while I held him in my arms (basically when I hold him, he can sleep any amount of time)
22:30 – we put him to bed for the night
00:00 – woke up, took pacifier, continued sleeping
01:00 -01:30 – feed
04:40 – 5:00 – feed
7:30 – 8:00 – diaper change and feed
Woke up around 9 and we started the day for him

Thanks, Emma, he does sleep a lot during the day. How long shall we let him nap then to avoid being active at night and waking frequently?

- Thanks, Emma. I would like to wake him up between 9:30 and 10:00 and later transition to earlier hours when we go back to work in a few months. He mostly wakes up then anyhow, but not always. Is there any reason this is too late (I know most people go for much earlier hours, but that’s the tike that works best for us right now)
- We also have the opposite issue from time to time – when he wakes up in the night, after feeding him based on the cues he looks very active and not sleepy at all – what shall we do then?
- Another thing that has happened. After the doctor cleared us to stop waking him up during the night at 4 weeks, he managed to do some 5 or 6 hours stretches of sleep many nights, but then at about 6 weeks he transitioned to waking up 2 or 3 hours from the last feed all the time. Is there a way we can encourage going back to the longer stretches?
