Thanks,
Today I tried to put her later, at 11:25 but still after I closed the book she began crying, it seems to me that she just doesn’t want me to leave her, I though that after almost a month she should have already learned the new way of sleeping. And also since yesterday she sleeps very badly, 30 minutes, today she again cried for half an hour on and off, talked to herself and then slept very shortly. When I picked her up ( I let her stay in bed 20 minutes after she woke up) and breastfed her she started closing her eyes, I can see that she definitely is tired but isn’t sleeping there. Can’t understand why this nap training is going without any luck(( -
Hi Emma,
Thanks for the answer. I will try putting her a bit later and maybe at 6 pm bedtime? When we are reading a book at bedtime as soon as I close the book she starts crying, but before she wasn’t doing that 🙁
And when you said 2 hours more or less so it can be 9 or 16 hours a day?
Kind regards,
Elen

Hi Emma,
And another thing I don’t understand is that for the past 2 weeks she is napping independently but still doesn’t sleep long, 1 hour, it’s still better, before she was sleeping only 30 minutes, but when it should lengthen to 2 hours? It should take some time? She should sleep 2-3 hours during day, right?

Hi Emma,
Thanks for your tips. I used chair method for the night training and for the naps I tried again chair method and wasn’t having any progress and was suggested to try check in method by a nurse from family center.
Her regular bedtime was at 6:30 I pushed it to 6:15, do you think it’s enough? Or maybe push it to 6 pm? She wakes up at 6:30 am and I lay her down at 11:00 am. And she still cried, I don’t know if she still resisting the new routine(when teaching for the night after few days she wasn’t crying) or she is overtired 🙁 As she isn’t crying hard or permanently I don’t go to her and she usually falls asleep within 20 minutes as you said.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, it does, thanks.
The thing is I sleep trained her when she was 10 months old, but only for nights, for the naps I was breastfeeding her or my husband was rocking her. I started sleep training her for the naps 3 weeks ago.We are trying to transition into one nap but she sleeps only 50-60 minutes(and still cries, sometimes short 2 minutes sometimes 15 minutes), sometimes even only 30 minutes. But in the nights she sleeps 11-12 hours without waking up.It’s like she is 2 different persons in the night and day. Can you please tell me what I am doing wrong?
