Great question, I wasn’t sure if I could let him sleep on his belly as he can’t roll tummy to back yet. What do you say?
Also, thank you for the very complete and detailed explanation of the disruptions, could be even worth to include in a Troubleshooting section in your course (and adding Travel! 🙃)
Thanks again!

We’ve got the right sleep environment and sleep routine (diaper change, sleep sack, white noise, blinds), and our paed just told me to make him comfortable and wait it out regarding the reflux.
I think my best shot for now is to get him comfortable on his back and used to the crib? And put him down fully asleep and work backwards?

(I realize this will now be more appropriate in baby sleep help but wanted to keep the context here…)
So far, I’ve had no success with the settling pyramid (I pick up and put down about 5-6 times until I call it quits). Even the first nap of the day is a challenge, as it aligns when my toddler gets ready to school and the house is noisy despite the sound machine.
What has been successful is getting timings right and he just falls asleep to shushing and patting (what I would do in the sleep pyramid).
I’ve observed that he doesn’t seem to love being on his back in general, and I’m wondering if it’s still reflux discomfort or anticipation of discomfort? The crib I put him down in is already at a 30 degree incline and I hold him for 30 min after feeds.
I’m wondering if I need to go even more gradual. Put him down fully asleep, then asleep but in REM, then drowsy, then awake?
As well, any tips for ninja-like transfers to crib?
Many thanks!
Anastasia

Anyway, this was more to get your professional opinion on this, out of curiosity!

Currently starting back gradually with doing the pyramid in my arms (going from rocking to tapping to shushing standing still). It seems restarting the pyramid cold turkey didn’t agree with my 3mo old just yet. Another day, another try!

Thanks for the support Emma!
As I write this, he fell asleep with just 1 shush and after spitting the dummy.
Small win of the day!

On the subject of setting good foundations for sleep, am I ‘allowed’ a contact nap, since he’s so little? I currently do one a day as he naps twice as long and gives me some rest before the eldest gets home 😉
