Thank you for your reply, here are the answers to the questions:
1. I moved him into his own room at 5 months and the changes started when he turned 7 months. Yes, they also coincided with him starting to crawl.
2. Yes, he can roll from his back to his tummy on his own very well. (He cannot roll from his tummy to back quite yet.)
3. His routine is still the same and has been for about a month. Now I’m wondering if I’m sticking to the schedule too rigidly and mistaking bored cues for tired cues—maybe his schedule is already changing and he is ready for 2 naps. All of the signs you mention have happened in the last few days. Would this explain the night wakes?
4. At night he wakes every ~1-2 hours from the time he goes to bed at 7.
5. He is no longer able to fall asleep on his own at naps or bedtime. I place him in the crib but he starts crying almost immediately and I move up the pyramid, eventually picking him up and he falls asleep on me quickly.
