Hi Emma!
(I realize this will now be more appropriate in baby sleep help but wanted to keep the context here…)
So far, I’ve had no success with the settling pyramid (I pick up and put down about 5-6 times until I call it quits). Even the first nap of the day is a challenge, as it aligns when my toddler gets ready to school and the house is noisy despite the sound machine.
What has been successful is getting timings right and he just falls asleep to shushing and patting (what I would do in the sleep pyramid).
I’ve observed that he doesn’t seem to love being on his back in general, and I’m wondering if it’s still reflux discomfort or anticipation of discomfort? The crib I put him down in is already at a 30 degree incline and I hold him for 30 min after feeds.
I’m wondering if I need to go even more gradual. Put him down fully asleep, then asleep but in REM, then drowsy, then awake?
As well, any tips for ninja-like transfers to crib?
Many thanks!
Anastasia
