Thank you for the detailed reply!

She occasionally will take a pacifier, most often if I accidentally wake her up when I lay her down in the crib, or transitioning between sleep cycles. She will suck on it until she falls asleep, then will spit it out. The rest of the time, once she is fussy she will not take a pacifier and will spit it out.

I have been using a swaddle but have just started to transition her to a sleeping bag last night.

I tried Option 2 yesterday, and she is able to fall asleep at the end by just holding her quietly. After laying her in the crib she woke up 20 minutes later and I was not able to soothe her back to sleep afterwards (due to change in environment – no longer in my arms?).
