Hi Emma,
He’s fine in the day, happy and smiling, some days when he’s not napped well he gets grizzly is I’m not actively entertaining him (reading books, walking round with him).
He hasn’t started solids yet, looking to do BLW in a few weeks.
The Wednesday before Easter he had his 4 month jabs and hhad iarrhea from it until the weekend just been, he’s been checked by the GP and he’s ok, good Friday we were in ED coz he had blood in his poo but they said it would clear up on its own and it did within 24 hours.
1. His wake up time is 6am (unfortunately needs to be this early as I’m returning to work in a few weeks and he’ll be going to daycare 🙃)
2. Daily routine is roughly 4-5 naps a day wake windows are between 1.5-2 hours depending on how his nap was, they are often closer to the 1.5 hour mark as his naps are about 30-45 minutes, We do sleep, eat, play.
3. His nap routine is:
While walking to sleep space I say ‘Sleepy time bunny’ put on white noise, put him in his sleeping bag, turn off night light and sing a lullaby, when he’s calm put him in his co-sleeper. Before this started I would put him down and put my hand on his chest and head and he’d moan and throw his head side to side and go to sleep.
4. He sleeps in a co-sleeper next to my bed, we have black out blinds and the air conditioning is on about 24 (we are in WA so it’s quite warm still)
5. Last nap is about 4.45-5.15 if all goes to plan (often it does not)
6. Depending on last nap between 7-8 he’s not very good at going down before 7 even if he’s not had his last nap, he’ll.wake up after 45 minutes if he goes down before 7.
7. Bedtime routine has been the same for about 2 months.
8. Stopped having long stretches about about a month ago, so waking every 2-3 hours. Before he would sleep until 11.30/12.00
9. Last night went down at 7.15, woke up, 10.30, 1.15, 3.30 and 6am. I feed him in the room in the dark and he goes back to sleep easily, there were some nights he’d keep waking up after being put back down but he stopped doing that.
10. Yes feeding everytime he wakes up, I’ll let him grizzle a bit sometimes he goes back to sleep otherwise I’ll give him a cuddle and rock him but he’ll start head bobbing on me looking for food.
11. No dummy or thumb sucking
Thank you so much for all your help. What age do you recommend putting them in their own room and is it easier to put the Crib in our room for a while and then move him?
